How to Find Cheap Lift Tickets p. 2

Fly Me to the Slopes and Let Me Ski Beneath the Clouds

Every ski season, the various airlines and the ski areas get together to offer the general public a variety of sweet ski and fly deals. Perhaps the best of these is offered by the Park City Utah ski areas, which offer a lift ticket when you present a same-day airline boarding pass. Since the Park City ski areas are just a short ride from the airport, if you book an early flight; this offer can be an excellent deal. Just make sure that you don’t have any issues with altitude sickness. Avoid consuming alcoholic drinks on the flight.  If you would prefer Colorado, Frontier Airlines often has a deal with Copper Mountain. Fly Frontier to Denver and get a coupon for buy one, get one free lift ticket.

Age Before Beauty

A number of ski resorts offer either a discount senior season pass or a senior discount lift ticket. Unfortunately they tend to change their offers every year. You should also keep in mind that restrictions, such as weekends, holidays and Spring break may apply to your senior discount lift ticket.

Lift and Lesson Packages

Some ski areas offer free tickets or even season passes with their ski lesson plans. While most resorts have this sort of program, the sweetest deal is offered at the Loveland ski area in Colorado. Simply purchase three, full lesson packages, which include lift ticket lesson and equipment rental and receive a free season pass! If you already know how to ski, there’s no need to fake beginner status. The same deal applies to the snowboard package!

Drive a Good Ski Lift Bargain

Have you been considering buying a new car?  Can you fall in love with a Chevy Tahoe in the same way you fell in love with skiing?  If so, purchase a Chevy Tahoe and receive a free season pass at participating resorts. If a new car is not in your future, don’t despair. Your local gas stations often have free lift ticket deals with gas purchases.

Small is Beautiful

You don’t always have to go to a major resort. For example, let’s say you are planning a ski trip to Colorado. Right before you hit the Eisenhower Tunnel on I70, look to your left. This is the Loveland Ski Area. This “local’s” ski hill is one of Colorado’s best kept secrets. You can drive right up to the hill and park for free. They often offer inexpensive, interchangeable lift ticket four-packs. If you live in Colorado, consider their beginner lesson plan. Complete a three-session learn to ski or learn to ride program, and receive a free season pass!

Cheap Skiing with Kids

In attempt to get school children excited about “higher education,” the US Ski and Ride Passport Program provides free or discounted skiing at resorts throughout the nation. You can visit them at http://www.usskiandridepassports.com/

Each state has a slightly different program, but all of them offer fantastic bargains. Some of the programs even offer special discounts for mom and dad!
